Lucha Lib… err professional wrestling was never the road that Amanio Rodriguez thought he would travel. Coming from the famous Rodriguez family, specifically from the famous Demonio Imperial, wrestling truly is in the blood. While he always appreciated the larger than life world that Lucha brought, he thought his world was destined for a larger impact. The sixth of the Rodriguez children, Aman grew up with only second-hand knowledge of the supernova rise that the family’s uncle had in the business. His uncle was a Mexican Lucha superstar, and Puerto Vallatra usually made it known during his youth. While he took a similar interest as the rest of his family, it wasn’t the in-ring that he enjoyed. Watching the unique personas, and overall silliness that can sometimes be seen in Lucha Libre, was his favorite part. A creative at heart, Aman grew to love dance and the art of acting. While he would participate with the family in learning the ropes, it was obvious that his interest was fleeting at best. His ambitions to be a famous actor or dancer… they were greater than any other desire he’d felt. He was never truly sure of how his uncle or siblings perceived his general disinterest in the ring. Truthfully, he didn’t care. Aman knew he’d make it one way or another. After turning eighteen, he set out on his own. Amanico travelled to Miami, hoping to eventually move to Los Angeles with dreams of landing a role on some television program. Unfortunately, it was simply a pipedream. While struggling his way through Miami, he eventually found solace in quite the shady individual. Aman found himself involved with Samuel Romo, the owner of one of Los Angeles’ largest gay clubs. While the relationship was not sexual (for the most part), it did lead to Aman becoming one of the club’s favorite chico go-go performers.This exhilarating life drew Aman in. He became the shining star in a grimy, dirty universe of men. This was his life for a little over three years, before it all blew up. He would find out some of the shady business dealings that Samuel was involved in, and attempted to blackmail him with police involvement. Unfortunately, this was the wrong move to make. Samuel always had the upper hand, and he forced Aman out of Miami for his own good. He would leave for a time, but returned to Puerto Vallarta. He found work in a local bodega. This life was simply not for him, and he knew it. He begged his uncle to show him the ropes, for real. For the last two years, he’s been honing his craft. Now, he’s following in his little sister’s footsteps, and by passing the Lucha Libre scene. He’s too big, too bold, and he shines too bright to be relegated to tradition. Aman Rodriguez is reading to set the professional wrestling world ablaze.
